Airlines Operators Association Nepal refutes media reports about assigning two pilots in chopper

KATHMANDU: Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN) has denied news reports that it defied the government proposal to assign two captains in a helicopter.

Issuing a press release on Friday, AOAN spokesperson Yog Raj Kandel Sharma claimed that the news published in various media citing Chairman Capt. Rameshwor Thapa, are false as Thapa has never made such comments.

The Association has promised to cooperate with the government and not to leave any stone unturned to ensure flight security.

Despite denying that Captain Thapa made no such comments, the AOAN press release has mentioned that there is no provision for assigning two captains in a single engine chopper.
