Maoist Center at the helm of country for long: Prachanda



KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the Maoists have been helming the country for long.

Talking to media persons on Tuesday, Prachanda said the Maoists were leading the country since the peace process till now. Stating the electoral alliance in the May 13 local elections was also led by the Maoists, he guaranteed victory of the alliance candidates.

He clarified that the Maoists would clearly implement its policy of “leadership” through local elections.

Stating that the national atmosphere was conducive for the alliance, he claimed that a new situation would evolve in the country within the next 10 days wherein the alliance would be proved victorious.

Saying there was a conspiracy to break the alliance, he added the Maoists took charge of protecting the alliance.

Prachanda expressed confidence that the Maoist Center would be more strengthened after the local elections.
