Govt raises a loan of Rs 221 billion in nine months



KATHMANDU: The government has raised a loan of Rs 221 billion in the first nine months of the current fiscal year 2021/22.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the government raised a loan of Rs. 221 billion.

Of this, Rs 116 billion is external loan and Rs 105 billion is internal loan, according to the Ministry of Finance.

The government has set a target of raising Rs 522 billion by borrowing Rs 283.9 billion externally and Rs 239 billion internally this fiscal year.

Out of this, Rs. 221 billion has been raised in the nine months from July to April.

According to the Ministry of Finance, loans amounting to Rs. 49.46 billion has been raised in the period between Mid-January to Mid-April.
