20-yr-old held for raping a minor girl



BIRGUNJ: Bara Police has rounded up a person on the charge of raping a minor girl.

Acting on a complaint, the police arrested a 20-year-old Afroj Ansari of Katahariya municipality-7, Bagahi, Rautahat.

On January 24, 2022, Ansari kidnapped and raped the girl under threat while she was going to her friend’s house based at Kalaiya-9, according to police.

The girl, then, went missing.

Following a massive search, Bara Police rescued the girl from a rented room in Kathmandu where she had been taken hostage by Ansari, said Rajesh Thapa, the spokesperson of DPO, Bara.
