29 leaders elected CC members to CPN (Maoist Centre) from Karnali

KATHMANDU: The Eighth General Convention of the CPN (Maoist Centre) has elected 29 leaders from the Karnali Province.

The party’s General Convention completed on Sunday, elected leaders in the CC from nine districts out of 10 of the province. Jajarkot district made the highest number of CC members while no one is elected from Mugu. From Dolpa, Kali Chalaune is the single leader representing the Maoist Centre party as the CC member.

From Jajarkot, Shakti Bahadur Basnet, Kali Bahadur Malla, Maya Prasad Sharma, Satya Pahadi, Ram Dip Acharya, Krishna Shah and Parbati BK have been elected.

Likewise, Nar Bahadur Bista, Jhak Bahadur Malla, Bindaman Bishta, Pushpa Gharti, Sita Nepali and Hari Maya Sharma are from Surkhet district.

Leaders being elected in the CC from Rukum West are Janardan Sharma, Raj Kumar Sharma, Basanta Sharma, Lumbini Gautam and Laxmi Pun.

From Jumla, Gajendra Bahadur Mahat, Naresh Bhandari and Goma Kunwar have been elected the CC members while Mahendra Bahadur Shahi, Bishnu Bahadur BK and Yeshoda Neupane are from Kalikot district.

Similarly, Tek Bahadur Basnet and Tika Budhathoki from Salyan district and Chhakka Bahadur Lama and Bijaya Bhandari from Humla are elected unanimously, CC member Naresh Bhandari said.
