KATHMANDU: The discussion on the Nepal Citizenship (first amendment) Bill 2079 will continue at the National Assembly meeting today as well.

The NA meeting is taking place on Friday afternoon.

Chairperson of the National Assembly, Ganesh Prasad Timalsina on Thursday informed that the discussion will continue in today’s meeting because the lawmakers registering their names for deliberation did not get turn on Thursday.

On Thursday, lawmaker Jitendra Narayan Dev accused the major opposition of playing politics on the bill.

He wondered why the issue of ‘marital naturalized citizenship’ was not surfaced when the erstwhile government brought the ordinance on the citizenship bill.

He argued that the bill was brought as per the constitution.
