Ruling coalition will continue: Maoist leader Pun

KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center leader Barshaman Pun has said that the ruling coalition will be continued for a couple of years.

Speaking at a program in Kathmandu on Thursday, Pun said that the alliance would last for a few more years.

It may be recalled that Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” had on Wednesday warned that the Nepali Congress (NC) party, a ruling coalition partner, would meet the same fate as the CPN-UML if it showed arrogance and pride.

The Maoist party has been providing training to the newly elected chiefs, deputy chiefs, chairpersons and vice-chairpersons on issues including local government operation.

The Maoists had won 121 municipal chiefs.
