Nepal taking on Zimbabwe ‘A’ in 2nd match today

KATHMANDU: Nepal and Zimbabwe are facing each other in the 2nd match of the T20 series today.

The game will be played at Kirtipur Cricket Ground at 1 pm.

Nepal, which is preparing for the triangular series under the Cricket World Cup-2 to be held in the United States in June, has organized three T20 and three ODI series against Zimbabwe in preparation for the same.

Following a loss to Zimbabwe ‘A’ in the first match on Sunday, Nepal’s skipper Sandeep Lamichhane said that his team is making plans to make a comeback.

“We will make a comeback. A single match alone does not determine either loss or win of a tournament. We will win the series by clinching a victory in both the second and third matches,” said Lamichhane.

Zimbabwe ‘A’ is also a strong team. It is planning to win the series by winning today’s match.

Nepal was scheduled to play its first match of the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe on Saturday. But the game was canceled due to continuous rain.

The third match under the twenty20 series is scheduled to be held on Wednesday.
