Prime Minister Deuba and Indian Prime Minister Modi launch RuPay digital card



KATHMANDU: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nepali Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba have launched ‘RuPay’ digital card amidst a program organized at Hyderabad House, New Delhi on Saturday.

With the Saturday’s launching, the RuPay digital card introduced by the Government of India has started in Nepal.

RuPay, which is affiliated to the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), was developed by India itself.

Banks in India have started using such cards as Visa and MasterCard. That card can now be linked to the banks in Nepal.
