Pedestrian dies after being hit by tanker



KATHMANDU: A pedestrian has died after being hit by a tanker at Gwarko in Lalitpur.

The deceased has been identified as Rajan Maharjan, 42, of Mangal Bazaar. Critically injured Maharjan breathed his while being rushed to Patan Hospital, said police.

The ill-fated tanker, Ba 2 Kha 6510, had struck Maharjan on Friday evening.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking the driver into custody of Metropolitan Police Circle, Satdobato.
