Two killed in Kapan motorcycle accident



KATHMANDU: Two people have died in a motorcycle accident at Kapan in the Kathmandu Valley on Wednesday morning.

The deceased have been identified as motorcyclist Shiva Raj Karki, 28, of Okhaldhunga, currently staying at Arubari and Durga Bahadur Karki, 61, a pedestrian, of Okhaldhunga, currently staying at Kapan.

Critically injured motorcyclist Shiva Raj died in the course of treatment at Helping Hand Hospital while pedestrian Durga Bahadur died at Om Hospital, informed Metropolitan Traffic Police Division, Ramshahpath, Kathmandu.

The motorcycle, Ba 64 Pa 1396, went out of control and struck the wall of a house after hitting the pedestrian at Saraswatinagar area in Kapan, said traffic police.
