Nepal sees 216 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley sees 137 cases in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 216 new cases of coronavirus while 209 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 213 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 3 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 118 cases in Kathmandu, 6 in Bhaktapur and 13 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the valley to 137 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there were two coronavirus-related death in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll has reached 11,596 in the country.

There are 4,971 active cases of coronavirus in Nepal as of Sunday.
