KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) scheduled for today afternoon has been postponed at the request of the CPN Maoist Center.

The meeting was called for 1 pm today.

The Maoist Center had requested Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota to postpone the meeting of the House of Representatives as the party’s eighth general convention was underway.

The Maoists are preparing to elect a central committee and office bearers today.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the next meeting will be held on January 6.
