Biplav-led NCP seeks compliance with past agreement

KATHMANDU: Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’-led Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leaders met Home Minister Balkrishna Khand on Thursday seeking the review of the implementation of the agreement reached in September.

According to sources, NCP spokesperson Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma ‘Prackanda’ and other leaders reached Home Minister Khand’s office to urge the government to review compliance with the past agreement.

Home Minister Khand, outgoing Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Gobind Prasad Sharma, Attorney General Khamma Bahadur Khati and Home Secretary Binod Prakash Singh participated in the talks held at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday afternoon.

Earlier, the cabinet meeting held on September 6 had agreed to resolve the issues raised by Biplav-led NCP under the home administration taking necessary political and administrative initiations.
