Nepal sees five new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of five new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Thursday.

All five cases were detected through the RT-PCR method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 903 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 337 were tested through RT-PCR method and 566 through Antigen method.

Currently, there are 156 active cases in the country as 24 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,019 to date.
