Nepal Academy hosts book exhibition for promoting reading culture

KATHMANDU: In a bid to promote reading culture, the Nepal Academy is hosting a book exhibition today.

The book exhibition is taking place at Bhanubhakta Chamber of the Academy.

Academy manager Sudhir Dhungel informed that the books published by the Academy since 2030 through 2079 BS are being kept for sale in the exhibition.

The price of the books kept for sale ranges from Rs 3 to Rs 2,070. In the exhibition, around 500 types of books related to language, literature, art, journal, criticism, dictionary, bibliography, culture, science, translation and philosophy have been kept for sale.

Dictionaries including Nepali Comprehensive Dictionary and Pragya Nepali-English Dictionary are available at 15 percent discount in the exhibition.

Dhungel further shared that the books published by the Academy as of 2079 BS are available at 40 percent discount.

The book exhibition is part of the Academy’s campaign to reach out its publications to all Nepali people in seven provinces so as to elevate its image.
