School building constructed with financial support of expats

GALESHWOR: A modern school building equipped with technology has been constructed at Bhakimli, Beni Municipality-3 in Myagdi district.

The building has been constructed with the financial assistance sent by people from the area who are in various countries.

An RCC block with 20 rooms has been constructed at the Jayanti Secondary School, Bhakimli at a cost of Rs 34.5 million, said Ram Bahadur Pun, former head teacher of the school.

The people from Bhakimli who are living abroad had taken initiative for collecting financial assistance for constructing the new building after the old school building was flattened by the 2015 Gorkha earthquake.

The school management committee had called for financial assistance from the Bhakimli expatriate communities throughout the world for support.

The committee could not manage adequate fund for constructing the building, except Rs 5 million provided by the then District Education Office.
