‘Karnali province will be prosperous from construction of roads, tunnels’

KARNALI: Minister for Finance Janardan Sharma has said Karnali Province will be prosperous provided that the road to hilly districts from Surkhet was upgraded and Surkhet-Bhurigaun tunnel way was developed.

At a programme organised by Surkhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday, Minister Sharma said the first precondition to development was transport infrastructure.

The demands include expansion of Surkhet Airport, construction of provincial industrial estate, Karnali corridor, Bheri corridor and others.

Receiving the demand charter, Minister Sharma said the government was serious to address the issues of the business community and the government was doing homework to address several issues in a holistic approach adding that cooperation and coordination among the federal, province and local government is imperative for the development of Karnali province.
