NC leader Shekhar holds talks with UML Chair Oli in Balkot

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Shekhar Koirala held talks with CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli on Thursday afternoon.

Koirala reached Balkot, Oli’s residence, at a time when the ruling parties are busy holding meetings on the allocation of seats.

The Koirala-led faction of the NC, which has been suspicious about NC leadership’s probability of bypassing his faction while distributing tickets for the November 20 elections, has been regularly in touch with UML leaders lately.

With the assessment that the NC leadership may weaken its faction in the alliance, the Koirala party has adopted a strategy to work in tandem with the UML.

Close leaders of Chairman Oli said the two leaders discussed how to face the upcoming elections for a win-win situation.
