Slogan set for National Children Day



KATHMANDU: The government has set a slogan for the 58th National Children’s Day.

‘Foundation of Child-friendly Society: Responsible Family, Accountable Society’ has been set as the slogan for the day.

Laying emphasis on child-friendly governance concept, Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizen has set the slogan to observe the children’s day nationwide on Bhadra 29 (September 14), informed Women Development Officer Kamala Dahal.

Nepal has been marking the National Children’s Day on Bhadra 29 commemorating the endorsement of Child Rights Convention by Nepal in 14 September 1990.

The Ministry has urged all local level governments, province governments, child clubs, civil society organizations and networks to mark the day.

Likewise, the ministry has also circulated the Child-Friendly Local Governance (CFLG) Guideline, 2078.

The cabinet had endorsed the guideline in 2021.
