Postmortem of 10 bodies of plane crash victims completed



KATHMANDU: The postmortem of the bodies of those killed in the crash of Tara Air plane has begun.

The Twin Otter with call sign 9N-AET had crashed in a mountain at Sanosare of Thasang Rural Municipality-2 on Sunday, killing all 22 people onboard, including three crew members.

Of the bodies being examined at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj, postmortem of 10 has completed, said the hospital.

The hospital management said the bodies of the deceased ones will be handed over to the bereaved families after the completion of all postmortems.

Of the dead, 16 were Nepali nationals, four Indian and two German.
