NEPSE declines by 7.21 points Wednesday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed the continuation of the downtrend on Wednesday.

Of the 13 subgroups traded on Wednesday, ten went red while three managed to go green in the stock market.

The stock market fell by 7.21 points to 2130.71 points. The stock market has continued to decline since the government announced the new budget.

Out of the 227 companies listed on Wednesday’s stock market, 101 companies traded reducing the total transaction amount to 1.7 billion.

Even in the down market, the share price of Malungkhola Hydropower showed a positive circuit while the price of Balefi Hydropower also rose by 9.94 percent.

Other high-earning companies today include Narayani Development Bank, Upkar Microfinance and Mountain Energy Hydro.

The biggest losers in Wednesday’s market were Shikhar Insurance. The company’s share price fell 10 percent in a negative circuit.

Similarly, the share price of Nepal Invest Mint Bank and Gurans Microfinance Company also declined by 7 percent.
