Two buried to death in landslide in Sankhuwasabha



SANKHUWASABHA: Two people have been buried to death in a landslide at Nundhaki of Chainpur Municipality-1 in Sankhuwasabha district today morning.

The deceased have been identified as Ram Kumar Rai, 35, of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City in Sunsari district and Him Bahadur Magar, 20, of Chaudandigadi municipality-6 in Udayapur district, according to the Area Police Office in Chainpur district.

Police inspector Milan Basnet shared that the two were buried by dry landslide while they were working in construction of Chainpur-Nundhaki road.

The dry landslide fell from some 30 metres above the ground, policed said. Both of the labourers died on the spot.

Police is moving to the accident site after they came to learn about the incident.
