Home Minister Khand takes charge as acting Prime Minister



KATHMANDU: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has become the acting Prime Minister of Nepal after Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba left for India on a three-day visit on Friday.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari, on the recommendation of Prime Minister Deuba, designated Home Minister Khand as the acting Prime Minister in Deuba’s absence.

Minister Khand will look after the daily administrative works of the Prime Minister for the next three days.

Prime Minister Deuba will return back on April 3.
