Maoist Center holding SC meeting prior to closed session

To give final touch to political and statute documents



KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) is holding a Standing Committee (SC) meeting prior to the closed session of the Eighth General Convention of the party.

The SC meeting to be held at Nepal Academy in Kamaladi will dwell on the suggestions presented by the representatives, said a Maoist Center leader.

According to central member Shakti Basnet, the SC meeting will give a final touch to the political document and the statute document based on the comments and suggestions given by the representatives.

“The political dossier and party statute document will be given a final touch by incorporating the suggestions given by the groups,” said Basnet.

Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda has presented the political document titled “The Path to Socialism in the 21st Century” while statute document has been submitted by Standing Committee member Dev Prasad Gurung in the closed session.

The closed session is resuming from 1 pm.
