SC judges form a three-member team to hold talks with Chief Justice Rana

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court judges, who assumed a single tone that Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana should resign from the post yet he (the Chief Justice) should be offered a ‘graceful exit’ if the latter wishes so, have formed a three-member committee to negotiate a way out from the judicial crisis.

According to SC sources, the team members are scheduled to hold talks with Chief Justice Rana  on Monday.

Judge Anil Kumar Sinha, Sapna Pradhan Malla and Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma have been tasked to hold dialogue with CJ Rana.

A meeting of judges at the apex court on Sunday formed a three-judge negotiating team to discuss any proposal for ‘safe exit’ of the Chief Justice.

“As some friends are of the opinion that there should be a team to hold dialogue with the beleaguered Chief Justice, today’s meeting decided to form a three-member panel,” an SC judge said.
