South Korea hands over oxygen concentrators to Nepal

KATHMANDU: The Government of the Republic of Korea has handed over 94 Oxygen Concentrators to Nepal.

Nepal is going to receive 378 oxygen concentrators through the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

At a brief function held at the Ministry of Health and Population Tuesday afternoon, Korean Ambassador to Nepal Park Chong-Suk handed over the equipment to Minister of State for Health and Population Umesh Shrestha. The remaining equipment will be handed over to the Government of Nepal within the next one month, according to the Korean Embassy here.

Of the 378 oxygen concentrators to be provided to Nepal to assist in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, the equipment will be provided to the Nepal-Korea Friendship Hospital, Trishuli Hospital, Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel Hospital, Tikapur and Mugu Hospitals in addition to the Ministry of Health and Population.
