According to the organizers, the winner of the competition, which will take place in September, will receive the cash prize of Rs 5 million. Similarly, the runner-up will receive cash prize of Rs 1.5 million.

Earlier, the competition’s winner received the cash prize of Rs 2.1 million in 2017. It had been raised to Rs 2.5 million by the organizers. The prize money, however, has been doubled this time.

The event was initially scheduled for December 2019, before being postponed multiple times.

This is the largest sum ever awarded to the winner of any competition in Nepali cricket.

The competition to be held from September 25 to October 9 will feature six teams this year.
