NDU demands JSP leader Bhattarai’s arrest for trying to incite religious conflict

KATHMANDU: Nepal Democrat Union (NDU) has demanded the arrest of Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, leader of the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), for attempting to incite religious and social conflict in the country.

NDU Coordinator Siddhartha Gautam issuing a statement Saturday demanded Bhattarai’s immediate arrest and penalizing him in accordance with the law of the land.

Condemning Bhattarai’s recent remarks on social media against Hinduism, the NDU called for banning him from taking part in political and social activities in the country. “NDU strongly condemns Dr. Baburam Bhattarai as he, yet again,  attempted to spread hatred, insult and hatred towards Hinduism,” the statement read.
