Province 2 sees 261 fresh cases of coronavirus in 24hrs

JANAKPURDHAM: Province 2 has seen 261 cases of coronavirus in past 24 hours.

According to Province Health Directorate of Province 2,  the province got 261 new cases of the pandemic on Monday taking the province coronavirus case tally to 32,633 till date.

The source informed that among the new cases 93 are women and 168 men.

Dhanusha saw the largest number of cases on Monday. There were 111 new coronavirus cases in Dhanusha.

Similarly, 42 people in Saptari, 35 in Siraha, 33 in Mahottari, 16 in Rautahat, 16 in Parsa, 5 in Bara, 2 in Sarlahi and 1  outside the province got infected with coronavirus pandemic in 24 hours.

Currently, 10,393 people are actively infected with corona in the province.

Of the active cases 531 are in various hospitals and 9,862 are in home isolation, the health directorate informed.

In the meantime, 317 people returned home after recovery making the number of recovered cases 21,550 by Monday afternoon.

Coronavirus has taken 690 lives in Province 2 till date.
