NEPSE decreases by 45.07

KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd has decreased by 45.07 points on Monday.

With today’s decline, the index has come down to 2782.86 points.

A total of 91.13 million shares worth Rs 13.90 billion have been traded in NEPSE today.

Likewise, the Sensitive Index declined by 6.58 points and closed at 500.47 points.

The hydropower sub-index, which has been fluctuating continuously in Nepse today, has declined the most. With the exception of mutual funds, all sub-indices include hydropower sub-index decreased by 4.31 percent, trade sub-index by 3.79 percent, non-life insurance sub-index by 2.57 percent, other sub-indices by 2.45 percent, life insurance sub-index by 1.93 percent, and development bank sub-index by 1.54 percent.

The manufacturing sub-index declined by 1.77 percent. The market-leading banking sub-index also declined by 1.01 percent.

Mutual funds, on the other hand, increased by 0.24 percent.

The share prices of two companies traded today closed at the circuit level. The share price of Radhi Power Company and Central Finance, which offered 147 percent rights after 36 percent bonus shares, has increased by about 10 percent.

The share price of Narayani Development Bank has risen by 7.43 percent and the share price of Lumbini Development Bank by 6.38 percent.

Meanwhile, the share price of Barun Hydropower has declined and closed at a negative circuit level. Shares of Neyal Hydro Developers Company and Chyangdi Hydropower decreased by 8.5 percent while shares of Mountain Hydro and Reedy Hydropower fell more than 8 percent.

Radhi Power Company has taken the lead in the transaction amount in the market today.

The company had a turnover of Rs 918 million while Lumbini Development Bank had a turnover of Rs 402.169 million.

Similarly, the Hydropower Development and Investment Company had a turnover of Rs 327.58 million.
