Six UML ministers in Sudurpaschim to be expelled from party



KATHMANDU: Ruling CPN-UML Provincial Committee has made a recommendation to expel six UML ministers from the party.

The recommendation for the action has been made after six UML ministers and whip Durga Kumari Kami did not furnish satisfactory clarifications sought.

Those recommended for action are Minister for Physical Infrastructure Dirga Bahadur Sodari, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Purna Joshi, Minister for Social Development Lal Bahadur Khadka, Minister of State for Physical Infra Structure Chun Kumari Chaudhary, Minister of State for Social Development Mana Kumari Saud and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Archana Gahatraj and UML Parliamentary Party whip Durga Kumari Kami.

A Standing Committee (SC) meeting held on last Monday had decided to pull out of provincial government of Sudurpaschim.

However, a meeting of the provincial parliamentary party on Wednesday decided to continue support to the government.
