NC concludes active membership-related task in 61 districts



KATHMANDU: A central active membership probe committee of the Nepali Congress (NC) has accomplished the job related to renewal and distribution of active memberships in 61 districts.

The central party office of the NC has said the regional committee has to make corrections on the new memberships, if any, and send them to the center via the district committee and in case of mistakes on the renewed memberships, the concerned district committee has to rectify and send them to the center within the given deadline.

Of the total 207 places across the country, active memberships of 106 places have to be enlisted on the official website by June 8 (midnight) while the jobs in 101 places have been concluded.

The party general convention slated for August has been hit due to delay in sorting out the issue of active memberships.

NC has decided to hold the 14th general convention of the party from August 23 to 26.

The party has said the programs of 14th General Convention will begin only once the works related to the active membership is over.
