Brief rain gives a sigh of relief to Kathmanduites



KATHMANDU: Brief rainfall on Wednesday evening brought a little relief to Kathmanduites suffering from persistent smog for the last couple of days.

The Kathmandu Valley witnessed a brief rainfall when the skies were covered with smog, which the Meteorological Forecasting Division said would not go away soon.

Kathmanduites were seen hurrying inside the buildings to save themselves from the rain.

The Division had earlier said that the weather would be partly to generally cloudy in the eastern and central regions along with the western hilly region.

The Division has forecast brief rain or thundershowers possible at a few places of the eastern and central regions and at one or two places of the western hilly region.
