KATHMANDU: Different annual reports have been presented in today’s meeting of the House of Representatives.
Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Shiva Maya Tumbahamphe, on the behalf of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, presented the annual report fiscal year 2019/20 of ‘National Natural Resources and Fiscal Commission’ as well as the annual report of the fiscal year 2019/20 of ‘National Inclusion Commission’.

Similarly, the President of the Development and Technology Committee, Kalyani Kumari Khadka, presented the annual report-2077 of the Committee and the Committee’s report on ‘Nepal Engineering Council (first amendment)-2077’ in the meeting.

Likewise, the meeting has also passed a condolence proposal today on the demise of members of the Constituent Assembly Nabindra Raj Joshi and Laxmi Devi Bhandari.

Joshi was also the former Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies. Both Joshi and Bhandari are Nepali Congress leaders.

Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota had presented the proposal in this connection. The meeting unanimously passed the proposal.

The meeting observed a minute’s silence in condoling the passing of the two former parliamentarians. It also extended condolences to the members of the bereaved families.

A committed and honest leader dedicated to the service of the people and who fulfilled a leadership role in the democratic movements, Joshi passed away on March 26. He was 59.

He was elected a member of the Constituent Assembly in 2064Bs and 2070 BS. He represented Kathmandu constituency no 8 from the Nepali Congress.

Similarly, Bhandari was elected to the Constituent Assembly in 2070 BS from the proportional representation quota. She died on March 29 at Mediciti Hospital in Lalitpur at the age 68. Bhandari had also played leadership role in the democracy movement.

The HoR’s next meet will be held at 1 pm on April 5.
