NC demands govt clarification on PM Oli’s ‘security threat’

KATHMANDU: Main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dilendra Prasad Badu has demanded the government to offer details about the security status of Prime Minister KP Oli.

Speaking during the zero hour of Wednesday’s meeting of the House of Representatives, NC lawmaker Badu asked the government to come out with the clarification on PM Oli’s claim that he felt security threat and he could be killed at any time.

“How true is the PM’s saying that he feels security threat?” he asked, demanding, “The government should make public the security arrangements for the Prime Minister.”

Lawmaker Badu wondered whether the PM really felt the security threat or a moral threat and asked for an explanation from the government.

Is it due to the security threat that the PM is not seen in the parliament of late? he asked sarcastically.
