FNJ Election: 165 candidates vying for 38 posts



KATHMANDU: As many as 165 candidates are vying for various posts in the election to the executive body of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) to be held on April 7.

According to the final list of candidates published by the FNJ Election Committee, 165 candidates are vying for 38 posts.

Gajendra Budhathoki, Nirmala Sharma, Ram Prasad Dahal, and Bipul Pokhrel have filed their candidacies for the post of FNJ President.

Deepak Pathak has withdrawn his candidature.

Likewise, Ramesh Bista, Madhav Nepal, and Ramji Dahal are on the fray for the post of senior vice president.

Similarly, Bala Adhikari and Dana KC have filed their candidacies for the post of women vice presidents.

Avadhesh Jha, Uday GM, and Mohan Kumar Singh are in the fray in the inclusive vice presidents category.

Roshan Puri, Bal Krishna Basnet, and Subodh Gautam are vying for the post of General Secretary.
