NC’s 13 sister organizations to demonstrate against HoR dissolution on Monday

KATHMANDU: Thirteen sister organizations affiliated to the main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) are set to organize a joint demonstration against the government and House of Representatives (HoR) on Monday.

The joint statement appealed to all to participate in the demonstration. Sister organizations will launch a “strong agitation” saying that the House of Representatives has been abruptly dissolved and the constitution has been torn down.

Preparations have been made to hold simultaneous mass demonstrations in all 77 districts of the country.

“We call on all Nepalis to take to the streets to defeat Oli’s totalitarianism by re-establishing the House of Representatives to rectify Oli’s unconstitutional move,” the statement said.

The NC has been demonstrating against the government’s move to dissolve the House of Representatives on December 20.
