UML leader Rawal refuses to be sworn in as central member

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Bhim Rawal has refused to take the oath of office as central member of the party, refusing the position.

Rawal lost an election contested against KP Sharma Oli for UML chairship in the party’s 10th general convention that concluded Tuesday.

As newly elected 301 central members, including office bearers, took the oath of office this evening, Rawal refused to swear-in, stating that he had not filed candidacy for central member’s post.

Meanwhile, rebel candidate Ghanshyam Bhusal, who contested the election for the post of vice-chair and eventually lost, has taken the oath of office.
