Three former Maoists Center leaders get elected officials in UML General Convention



SAURAHA: Three of the leaders who deserted CPN (Maoist Center) to join KP Oli-led CPN (UML) have managed to get the position of office bearers in the UML’s 10th General Convention that concluded on Tuesday.

According to the results of the election held on Tuesday, Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ has been elected as the Vice President and Top Bahadur Rayamajhi and Lekhraj Bhatt as the Secretary of the party.

The list of office bearers presented by UML chairperson KP Oli in closed session has been approved by the delegates through voting when the disgruntled voices represented by influencing leaders Dr. Bhim Rawal, Ghanashyam Bhusal, Bhim Acharya and Tanka Karki got defeated in the election.
