Cabinet approves Nepal’s participation in 12th Ministerial Conference of WTO



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to approve Nepal’s participation in the 12th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO) to be held in Geneva, Switzerland.

Making public the decision of the cabinet Thursday, government Spokesperson Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, who is also the Law Minister, said the proposal for WTO conference participation presented by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies was approved by the cabinet. Karki added the cabinet also approved the country’s participation in Interpol’s the 89th General Assembly.

Likewise, the cabinet decided to promote Joint Secretary Prof. Gopal Prasad Sigdel to Gazetted Special Category.

Similarly, it has been decided to give temporary approval for development projects under various ministries, Karki said.
