Eight more Nepalis rescued from Afghanistan arrive in Kathmandu

After the Taliban takeover, a total of 778 Nepalis have been rescued and brought home safely so far



KATHMANDU: Eight Nepalis rescued from Afghanistan on Saturday arrived in Kathmandu Sunday via Doha of Qatar, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

The Ministry has also said that coordination with the bodies concerned was underway to repatriate Nepalis who are waiting for homecoming. Issuing a press note, the Ministry stated that the government officials are in touch with all Nepalis staying in Kabul.

After the Taliban takeover, a total of 778 Nepalis have been rescued so far and all of them arrived home. The Ministry has urged all Nepalis stranded in Kabul to register their names in the Ministry’s website as well as in the Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi, India.
