PM Oli alleges Madhav faction of inciting factionalism

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli has alleged the Madhav Nepal faction for trying to create instability within the party with the support of other opposition parties.

Addressing a meeting of the 10th General Convention Organizing Committee in Baluwatar on Wednesday, PM Oli alleged some people of being active in inciting factionalism within the party by hatching conspiracies and maneuvers.

He said that the party witnessed unprecedented unrest in the last one year.

“Some elements have been active in the party to create instability through manipulations, conspiracies, maneuvers, and unhealthy alliances within the opposition political parties,” he said.

Prime Minister Oli further stated that attempts were made to tender my resignation by bringing a motion of no-confidence.

“The game of instability began some time ago,” he said sniffing sarcasm over the dissident faction of joining the opposition camp to topple its party government.

He also lambasted the disgruntled faction for trying to capture the party, and claimed that the government led by him is gaining popularity among the people as it has accelerated the pace of development in a historically unprecedented manner.

PM Oli further stated that the UML is becoming popular due to the government’s intense aspiration for development with a planned approach and its commitment to put that aspiration into practice.
