Former King Gyanendra disappointed with people’s frustration, sufferings



KATHMANDU: Former king Gyanendra Shah has expressed serious concern over the current state of affairs in the country.

Issuing a statement on Wednesday, former King Gyanendra has said that common people are still in distress and frustration and are undergoing hard times due to the political instability despite being assured of all opportunities.

Several people, who have not been able to get vaccinations against COVID-19, are disappointed.

Meanwhile, people in several parts of the country have been enduring the pain of natural calamities, the statement said.

“Therefore, considering the frustration and suffering of the people, we have decided not to celebrate the birthday this time in a grand manner,” former King Gyanendra said in a statement.
