Nepal records 2,892 new COVID-19 cases, 41 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 572 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,892 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,889 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 1,003 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 436 persons in Kathmandu, 89 in Lalitpur, and 47 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 572 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 41 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 3,597 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
