UML’s 10th National General Convention Organizing Committee dissolved

Central Committee meeting on Friday



KATHMANDU: The Organizing Committee of the 10th National General Convention of the CPN-UML has been dissolved.

A meeting of the General Convention Organizing Committee held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday decided to dissolve the committee and transform it into a central committee, according to UML Spokesperson Pradeep Gyawali.

The tasks of the party will now be done under the name of the Central Committee.

Spokesperson Gyawali informed that the meeting of the Central Committee will be convened on Friday.

The meeting also decided to include Ram Bahadur Thapa “Badal”, Lekhraj Bhatt, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Mani Thapa, Raghubir Mahaseth, Raghuji Pant, Bishnu Rimal and Beduram Bhusal in the party’s Standing Committee.

Meanwhile, the action taken against 11 leaders including UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal also has been nullified.

Spokesperson Pradip Gyawali said that all the actions taken against them will become ineffective.

Similarly, the party has also decided to support senior leader Jhalanath Khanal in his medical expenses.
