Five student unions staging protest against HoR dissolution today



KATHMANDU: Five students’ organizations are staging a demonstration across the country including the Kathmandu Valley against the dissolution of House of Representatives (HoR).

A joint meeting of five students’ organizations – Nepal Student Union (NSU), All Nepal National Independent Students Union-Revolutionary (ANNISU-R), All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), Socialist Students Union and All Nepal National Free Students Union (Sixth) held on Monday decided to hit the streets and burn an effigy in the Kathmandu Valley on June 30 and July 1.

The student unions also handed over a memorandum to the Vice Chancellor of Tribhuvan University and National Examination Board on June 29.

They, in the memorandum, have demanded that TU should not charge fees to the stuents during the lockdown period.
