KATHMANDU: A French national has been found dead in his rented apartment in Boudha of Kathmandu.

Mark Gerard Bajus, a 67-year-old French national carrying passport number 08 CK04123, was found dead on Saturday.

“He had been living in Boudha for a long time. He used to do back-and-forth between France and Nepal. His body was found in his house on Saturday,” said DSP Karki.

Karki said that Bajus lived a solitary life and did not have many friends. Police are looking into what he did and when was the last time he arrived in Nepal.

The cause of death has not been identified yet, according to police. Bajus had been saying that he had a sore throat for a few days and there are no suspicious injuries on his body. The body is sent to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj for post-mortem.
