NEPSE increases by 12.54 points

KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has increased by 12.54 points on Sunday.

With today’s increment, the index has reached 2827.93 points.

Similarly, the financial ordinance that came on Saturday has also increased the profit tax for those who sell shares in the stock market for less than a year.

Contrary to expectations that this will have a negative impact on the stock market, the market has been setting one record after another.

The transaction amount is increasing day by day not only in the market indicator. Not only Nepse but also the transaction amount has set a new record in the share market. The market had a turnover of Rs 14.76 billion last Thursday, breaking the record today.

A total of 17.284 million shares were traded in Nepse today with the purchase and sale of 42.636 million 348 shares. Which is the highest transaction in a single trading day in Nepse.

Earlier, the turnover was Rs 14.76 billion on Thursday. The amount was traded when 41,13,994 shares were bought and sold. In the pre-open session today, it had increased by 20 points and opened at 2836.11 points.

In intra-day trading, which had fluctuated throughout the day, intra-day trading had touched a high of 2854.80 points and dropped to 2814.72 points. The share of microfinance is declining under the direction of NRB.

Similarly, investors are rushing to buy shares of the hydropower company due to the discussion that the Electricity Regulatory Commission is preparing to issue the right to repay the bank loan to the hydropower company.

As a result, the hydropower sub-index, which increased at a high rate on the last trading day of last year and at a high rate even today, has seen a general correction when investors booked a profit.

However, hydropower companies are ahead in terms of turnover.

Today, other sub-indices have corrected the most at 2.49 percent, while the microfinance sub-index has corrected by 1.37 percent and the hydropower sub-index by 0.02 percent. Meanwhile, the Development Bank sub-index increased the most at 7.39 percent. Similarly, the finance company sub-index increased by 5.08 percent, the hotel, and tourism sub-index by 4 percent and the mutual fund sub-index by 3.87 percent.

Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel announced tax exemption for mutual funds in the budget made public on Saturday. Today, the transaction amount is led by the hydropower company.

There are 9 hydropower companies in the top 10 most traded companies. Today, the highest turnover of 474 million 90 thousand of National Hydropower has been recorded in Nepse. Similarly, Arun Kabeli Power had a turnover of Rs 469.264 million, United Modi Hydropower Rs 413.14 million and Butwal Power Company Rs 412.85 million.

Share prices of 20 companies have risen at the circuit level in Nepse today. While the share price of most development banks has increased and closed at the circuit level, the share price of some hotels including some hydropower and finance companies has also closed at the circuit level.

However, the decline in share price is dominated by hydropower companies. Share prices of Varun Hydropower Company and Himalayan Energy Development Company have declined by more than 6 percent. Similarly, the share price of Mithila Microfinance and Mountain Hydro Nepal has declined by more than 5 percent.

The share price of 80 companies has gone down while the share price of 80 companies has gone down. Similarly, share prices of three companies remained stable.
