SEE to be conducted through alternative assessment method

KATHMANDU: The National Examination Board (NEB) has decided to conduct the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) — postponed due to the coronavirus epidemic — through an alternative assessment method.

A meeting of the Board has decided to conduct the SEE examination through an alternative assessment method, according to said Chandra Mani Poudel, Chairperson of the Board.

He said, “We have recommended the Ministry of Education to conduct the SEE through alternative assessment.”

According to him, the SEE will be held as per the decision of the Ministry of Education.

A task force formed under the Chairmanship of Director General of the Education and Human Resource Development Center Baikuntha Prasad Aryal had submitted a report to the board last Thursday.

The board had started discussions on the modalities of the examination from Friday after receiving the report.
